The Nightingales Fascinate Brussels
On European tour, the Nightingales, composed of Bianca Camille Lopez and Ma. Rhina Paula Palma-Cruz (center), performed at the prestigious Musical Instruments Museum in Brussels dubbed as “A Note-able Afternoon,” an afternoon of music for voice, cello and piano, with Mikko Pablo (right), Filipino cellist currently studying masters in music at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp, and Michael Cu (left), Belgium-based Filipino-Chinese classical pianist and piano teacher, on October 14. The Nightingales fascinated the audience with their bel canto or beautiful voice as they brought the magic of opera to the fore, with a rare blend of musicality, and performed a wide-range repertoire. The Nightingales were brought to Brussels through the efforts of Luto ni Lola, a family-run Filipino catering service in Belgium. END
