PHL Consul General in Dubai Supports Press Conference of “Lamentasyon”

02 November 2017 DUBAI – The Philippine Consulate General in Dubai and the Northern Emirates hosted the Press Conference of “Lamentasyon,” the first Filipino feature film written, produced, directed, and starred by Overseas Filipinos based in Dubai and the Northern Emirates. Lamentasyon will be premiered by the Philippine Consulate General and Vox Cinemas at the Grand Hyatt, Vox Cinemas on November 15.

Consul General Paul Raymund P. Cortes in his interview, stressed to the Filipino community in Dubai and the Northern Emirates the need to continue honing their skills and expertise and be confident of how much they are able to contribute not only to the global diaspora of Filipinos but also to their adopted homes.

Together with the Filipino Ladies of Dubai, Philippine Consulate has organized many community events that highlight the talents and diverse cultural background of the Filipinos be it in song, music composition, dance, photography, painting, and film making. END
