PHL Consulate General Welcomes Participants of Philippine National Police - PSOSEC Class 2016-03

03 November 2017 LOS ANGELES — The Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles hosted a welcome reception on October 24 in honor of the Philippine National Police (PNP) participants of the Public Safety Officers Senior Executive Course (PSOSEC) Class 2016-03. The PNP-PSOSEC Class 2016-03 is headed by Police Superintendent Redrico Maranan of the Philippine National Police (PNP). Their counterparts from the Los Angeles Field Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) led by Acting Director Mr. Danny Kennedy also attended the reception.

The PNP-PSOSEC Class 2016-03 is composed of 57 officers from the Philippine National Police, Philippine Coast Guard, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, and the Bureau of Fire Protection. This is so far the biggest class to participate in the training program in Los Angeles which is aimed at to enhancing their expertise and capabilities to assume higher command positions in provincial, regional and national levels of their respective agencies.

This partnership between the PNP and the FBI is on its 12th year, contributing to deeper law-enforcement cooperation between the Philippines and the U.S.  This is the 2nd batch for the year 2017 received by the Consulate General in Los Angeles. END
