HK mnth long PHL film festival26 November 2013 -  The 4th Philippine Film Festival in Hong Kong was held at the Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre Lecture Theatre on November 8, 10, 17 and 24. 

Director Martin Masadao of the festival’s opening night film “Anac Ti Pating” graced the occasion as guest speaker.  Anac Ti Pating is a coming-of-age film about a school boy in Baguio City who decided to write a story about a shark living in the forest of the Cordilleras.  The film depicts the boy’s friendship with a retired doctor and a Korean boy, his experiences being bullied and the truth about his birth.HK mnth long PHL film festival2

Six (6) other films were also shown, as follows:

·         Ang Babae sa Likod ng Mambabatok;

·         Ang Pagbabalik ng Bituin;

·         Huling Biyahe;

·         Qwerty;

·         Taguri; and

·         Qiyamah.

Admission to the film festival was free.

The Festival was organized in cooperation with the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) and was one of the activities under the 2012-2013 Philippines-China Years of Friendly Exchanges (YFE). 

The event was supported by Genting Hong Kong Limited, Smart-PLDT, Prime Credit, Destileria Limtuaco and San Miguel Beer. END
