PHL Consulate General in Los Angeles Attends Appreciation Night in Honor of Filipino-American First Responders

20 November 2017 LOS ANGELES – Consul General Adelio Angelito S. Cruz attended the Appreciation Night hosted by Dr. Noel Fajardo, honoring Fiilipino-American Las Vegas first responders during the October 01 deadly mass shooting in Las Vegas. The event was held at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 08.
Las Vegas gastroenterologist Dr. Noel Fajardo organized the event recognizing the first responders who came to the scene of the deadly massacre at the Route 91 country music festival in Las Vegas. The appreciation dinner was attended by Nevada State Senator Scott Hammond, officers of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Las Vegas Fire Department, as well as paramedics, doctors and nurses.
Consul General Cruz presented Certificates of Appreciation to the 16 first responders. They were Dr. Kevin Menes, Dr. Patrick Flores, Callen Dauioag, RN BSN Marvin Cruz, RN BSN Johnny Chua, RN BSN Olivia Guerrero, RN BSN Jon Dimaya, RN BSN Geno Sicat, RN BSN Agnes Mejie, RN BSN Denisse Mojica, RN BSN Haidy Guaring, RN BSN Melina Garrido, RN BSN Elvie Pelaez, PT DPT CWS Warren Mangio, PTA Monina Mangio and Althea Barranda Clark.
