First-time passport applicants at the Consular Outreach Mission in Marseille

21 November 2017 PARIS — The Philippine Embassy in Paris conducted a Consular Outreach Mission in Marseille on November 18. Over 200 members of the Filipino community living in Marseille and its adjacent cities availed themselves of various consular services including passport renewals, civil registration, notarials, and registration and/or reactivation of their overseas absentee voters’ records.  The Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) based in Geneva also offered OWWA services and conducted several Financial Literacy Seminars throughout the day.

The Embassy provided information kits to all those who took part in the Consular Mission under its Magtanong sa Embahada campaign. The kits contain information on women's rights, frequently asked questions on consular matters and assistance to nationals. The Embassy encouraged the community to follow its PHinFrance Facebook page and Twitter account to learn more about the Embassy's services and highlighted that the community can use these to directly communicate with the Embassy.

The Filipino community expressed their profound appreciation to the Philippine Embassy for offering the various services during the outreach mission. 1GANAP Guardians in Marseille and the Eglise du Couer Immaculate de Marie were the Embassy's partners for this successful Consular Outreach Mission.
