Philippine Ambassador to Portugal Celia Anna M. Feria welcomes the Filipino community to the 3rd Linggo sa Embaixada

22 November 2017 LISBON — The Philippine Embassy in Portugal held its 3nd Linggo sa Embaixada on November 12, to enable the Filipino Community to avail of consular services and attend a seminar conducted by the representatives of the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Office in Madrid.

Through the initiative of the Philippine Embassy in Lisbon, the POLO and OWWA Office in Madrid were given jurisdiction over Portugal in order to facilitate the provision of OWWA-related services to the Filipino community in Portugal. The seminar provided an opportunity to brief the Filipino community on the benefits of OWWA membership. During the seminar, which was attended by around 100 hundred people, several members of the Filipino community registered and updated their OWWA memberships. 

The Linggo sa Embaixada is a monthly activity initiated by the Philippine Ambassador to Portugal Celia Anna M. Feria to enable Filipinos to avail of full consular services during a Sunday and attend seminars and activities aimed at improving the livelihood and well-being of the Filipino community in Portugal.
