PHL Embassy in Tokyo Conducts Outreach Consular Mission in Okinawa, Japan
22 November 2017 OKINAWA — The Philippine Embassy in Tokyo, Japan, in cooperation with the Philippine Consulate General in Okinawa, successfully conducted a consular outreach mission in Ginowan City, Okinawa on November 11. Okinawa is located 1,326 miles from the Embassy. The Islands are home to more than 1,600 Filipino residents in Japan and countless others residing in US military bases.
During the one-day mission, a total of 137 ePassport applications, 6 notarial applications, 28 consultations and 92 Overseas Voting applications were received.
The last consular mission of the year will be conducted in Chikusei City, Ibaraki Prefecture on November 25. END
