PHL Consulate General in Dubai Promotes DOT’s “Invite A Friend” Program

24 November 2017 DUBAI — The Philippine Consulate General in Dubai and the Northern Emirates joined TFC’s 1 Music X Dubai at the Dubai Media City Amphitheater on 03 November 2017 by setting up a booth at the concert grounds to promote DOT’s “Bring Home a Friend (BHAF)” program among Filipino attendees of the event.

DOT launched the BHAF referral incentive program in October this year in efforts to increase tourism arrival in the Philippines to 7 million. In support of this objective, the Consulate General set-up a booth featuring the iconic jeepney and distributed background information on BHAF, including the mechanics on how Filipino expatriates could register in the program and possibly win prizes for themselves and their foreign guest. It was estimated that around 7,000 people attended the event.

Dubai is home to more than half a million Filipinos who are engaged in various professions and who have well-established foreign networks. The Consulate will continue to promote BHAF among the Filipino community in Dubai and contribute to the efforts of the government to bring more foreign visitors into the country. END
