24 November 2017 MUSCAT — Philippine Ambassador to Oman Narciso T. Castañeda welcomed the newly-elected Board of Trustees of the Philippine School in Oman at the Embassy’s Sentro Rizal on November 20.

Ambassador Castañeda congratulated the Trustees and expressed hope for maintaining the open line communication between the Embassy and the Philippine School, as well as the continued participation in and support by the school of the Embassy’s activities.

The Board of Trustees Chairman, Mr. Alan G. Basmayor, informed the Ambassador that the Board’s primary concern is to ensure the full implementation of the programs started by the previous Boards which aim to enhance the school’s facilities and faculty complement.

The Ambassador wished the Board of Trustees the best in their endeavors and said that the Embassy will continue to take an interest in the concerns of the Philippine School in Oman.

The new Board of Trustees will serve for school year 2017–2019. END
