24 November 2017 CYPRUS — The Philippine Embassy in Ankara conducts consular services in Northern Cyprus from November 17 to 20. The Embassy rendered 23 applications for e-Passport renewal, two lost passports, release of 64 new passports, one report of birth, and 15 employment contracts and affidavits/special powers of attorney. 75 Filipino nationals submitted information for the Embassy's certificates of registration while 24 certificates were released, 20 applications for overseas voting registration and attended to over 80 consular inquiries during the two-day mission.

The first ever Parol-Making Workshop in North Cyprus was held at Altinkaya Holiday Resort on November 19, with around 60 participants. The program replicated the parol-making workshops held in Ankara on October 15 and in Istanbul on 29 October 2017. The participants were excited to make their parols, mostly when they were told that they could bring them home. It took them one hour and a half to finish their parols, with the help of Mr. Antonio Pabia, Auditor of the Filipino Community in North Cyprus (FCNC) who volunteered to demonstrate the steps in making the parol, while it is also shown on the screen.
