27 November 2017 YANGON – The Philippine Embassy in Yangon supported the International Cultural Day of the International School of Myanmar (ISM) held at the Middle School Campus on November 18 by providing cultural materials displayed at the Philippine Booth. The theme for the booth was Flores de Mayo – a festival celebrated in the Philippines during the month of May that culminates with a Santacruzan or the depiction of the search for the Holy Cross by the Roman Empress Helena and her young son, the future Emperor Constantine.

The International Cultural Day is an annual activity of the school that celebrates the diversity of cultures and showcases the cultural heritage of all the students, parents, teachers and workers associated with the International School of Myanmar. The event started with a parade of students wearing their national costumes. Musical performances were also held during the day. END
