Toon City Animation and DTI Meet with Brunei Economic Development Board

28 November 2017 BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN – Representatives from Toon City Animation (Philippines) and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) were in Brunei Darussalam on November 23 to 24 upon the invitation of the Brunei Economic Development Board (BEDB), as part of its initiative in developing Brunei’s creative industry in pursuit of the country’s economic diversification drive.
Toon City is the animation production house for major clients around the world, including Walt Disney Television Animation, Universal Animation, Warner Bros. Animation, and MoonScoop Productions, among others, offering the very best in high quality traditional, 3D/CGI and flash animation artistry.
During the meeting with BEDB officials, the Toon City representatives shared their plan on providing animation training to locals, creating a pool out of the selected trainees, and exploring the possibility of setting up an office in Brunei which will assist the Manila office in production works.
