PHL Festive Decor Brings Christmas Cheer, Brightens Holiday Season at Ritz-Carlton Hotel Bahrain
The holiday season in Bahrain was ushered in with a Christmas lighting ceremony at the grand Ritz-Carlton Hotel on December 02, featuring festive décor from the Philippines. The ceremony was held at the Hotel’s sprawling grounds with over 700 people attending. Clockwise from top left: the Ritz-Carlton employees choir composed of the hotel’s Filipino personnel who sang carols in front of the grand Christmas tree decked with angels and wreaths made of sinamay, dried natural leaves, berries and fruits from Baguio City; Top right: Ambassador Alfonso and Mrs. Caroline Ver at the hotel lobby decorated with Christmas trees and accents made of capiz shells, mother of pearl, crystal beads and natural material ornaments from Cebu; Bottom left: The Lobby and Atrium ceiling are strewn with parols from Cebu; and bottom right: the “Floating Garden” centerpiece at the hotel’s entrance, driveway and rotunda is made of Silk Wisteria and Silk Hydrangea flowers from Baguio City. The supply, design and execution of the decorations were made by Filipina Felma Bacalso-Taylor, Managing Director of Bahrain-based Designer Imports WLL, an import-export and interior design company (www.designer-imports.biz).
