PHL Embassy Commemorates Bonifacio Day in Abu Dhabi

Philippine Ambassador to the UAE Constancio R. Vingno Jr. and Madame Yoko Ramos-Vingno are joined by officers and staff of the Philippine Embassy, POLO, OWWA, SSS, and Pag-IBIG at the Bonifacio Day celebration.

07 December 2017 ABU DHABI — The Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi, in a simple ceremony, commemorated the 154th birth anniversary of Andres Bonifacio at the Embassy function hall on November 30.

The celebration commenced with the singing of the Philippine national anthem.  Philippine Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Constancio R. Vingno Jr., in his remarks, spoke about the life and martyrdom of Andres Bonifacio as the Founder of the Katipunan. “Let his sacrifices, and that of other Philippine heroes, be an inspiration to all of us, whether in our personal lives or official functions as public servants. Everything that we do reflect on what we are as Filipinos,” he said.

Ambassador Constancio R. Vingno Jr. delivered his message at a ceremony to commemorate the 154th birth anniversary of Andres Bonifacio.

Welfare Officer Ron Lionel Bartolome and Protocol Officer Jobert Esguerra then led the singing of “Bayan Ko”, “Ako ay Pilipino”, and “Pag-ibig sa Tinubuang Lupa,” in honor of Bonifacio. A simple salu salo (or breakfast) was held at the end of the ceremony.
