Annual Year-End Gathering with Filipino Scholars in the Netherlands
Philippine Ambassador Ledda announces to Filipino scholars, students, and professionals the Embassy’s various events and activities including the ASEAN Film Festival in Utrecht on December 08 to 10, among others.
08 December 2017 THE HAGUE – The Philippine Embassy in The Hague hosted its annual traditional end-of-the-year gathering of Filipino students, scholars and professionals in The Netherlands on November 24 at the Atrium Place, Church of Our Saviour (COS), Koningin Marialaan in The Hague. Ambassador Jaime Victor B. Ledda welcomed all guests in this primarily “getting to know you” meeting from Filipinos studying in the different Dutch universities such as Leiden, Tilburg, and International Institute of Social Studies (ISS). Recent graduates from Amsterdam and Rotterdam of the short-course, Leadership and Social Entrepreneurship Training Program offered by the Ateneo School of Government and Filipinos working with various international organizations in The Hague were also present. Ambassador Ledda also took the opportunity to inform them of on-going registration for absentee voting in the upcoming national (senatorial) elections in 2019. He also reminded everybody to take note and watch the coming ASEAN Film Festival on December 08 to 10 in Utrecht, Netherlands being organized by resident ASEAN Embassies in The Hague, namely, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam as the ASEAN Committee in The Hague (ACTH) which will feature two films from the Philippines, K’na, the Dreamweaver and Across the Crescent Moon.
