Embassy Presents Madrigal Singers in Celebration of 45th Anniversary of PH-Czech Relations

11 December 2017 PRAGUE – As part of the celebration of the 45th Anniversary of the Philippine-Czech Diplomatic Relations in 2018, the Philippine Embassy led by Chargé d’affaires, a.i. Juan E. Dayang, Jr., will host the University of the Philippines Madrigal Singers from December 07 to 12.

The “Madz”, as the choir is fondly called, is led by Choirmaster Mark Anthony A. Carpio and has consistently garnered awards in major choral competitions around the world including the distinction of being the first choir to win the European Grand Prix for Choral Singing twice.

In Prague, the Madrigal Singers will perform at the Jindrisska Church, Our Lady Victorious Church and at the Old Town Square.  They will also perform at the Pilgrimage Church of St. John of Nepomuk, a UNESCO Heritage site and at the Basilica of Our Lady of Assumption and St. Nicholas. END
