PHL Embassy, POLO-Beirut Repatriate 54 Undocumented Filipinos

14 December 2017 BEIRUT – Fifty-four (54) Filipino nationals, including eight (8) minors, with irregular immigration status in Lebanon were able to spend the holidays with their families in the Philippines after the Embassy’s Assistance-to-Nationals (ATN) Section and the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO)-Beirut facilitated their repatriation on December 07.

The ATN Section assisted the aforementioned nationals in securing their exit clearances from the General Security (Lebanese Immigration). POLO-Beirut shouldered their airfare and also provided bus transportation to the airport for their early morning flight.

All 54 Filipinos arrived safely in the Philippines on December 08. END
