PHL Missions in UAE Support PHL Exhibitors in Middle East’s Largest Natural and Organic Products Expo

15 December 2017 ABU DHABI – Philippine officials in UAE showed strong support to Philippine companies participating in the Middle East Organic and Natural Products Expo (MENOPE) 2017 during the opening day of the exposition on December 11 at the Dubai Convention and Exhibition Center.
Philippine Consul General to Dubai Paul Raymund Cortes, Third Secretary and Vice Consul Rowena Pangilinan-Daquipil of the Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi, Agricultural Attaché Gil Herico and Commercial Attaché Eric Elnar visited the Philippine Pavilion and discussed individual products with the participating Philippine companies during the event.
Filipino companies exhibiting their natural and organic products include Alter Trade Fair Trade Organization (mascovado sugar), Avante Agri-Products Philippines (bananas and pineapples), Biological Homeopathic Medical Corp. (premium virgin coconut oil), Castillejos Agri Farms, Inc. (quality tropical fruit jams, jellies and fruits in syrup, etc.), Eng Seng Food Products (durian dried fruit, yema, candy yema durian, banana chips and tablea), Galo Organic and Naturals (banana chips, virgin coconut oil products), Green Life (coconut by-products), Japan Philippines Malunggay Eco-Farm, Inc. (malunggay/ moringa-related products), and Northern Mindanao Federation of Dairy Cooperatives (NMFDC) (fresh dairy products).
MENOPE, which will run until December 13, is the only event for organic and natural products in the Middle East and North Africa region. It provides international companies from different sectors instant access to a dynamic and expanding market of organic and natural products. More than 2,000 products were displayed from leading global suppliers.
The Philippine Pavilion and participation of the nine Filipino companies were made possible through the coordination of the Office of Agricultural Attaché and the Department of Agriculture, with the support of the Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi and Philippine Consulate in Dubai. END
