PHL Embassy in Brunei Darussalam Holds Its Last Kapihan sa Pasuguan for 2017

21 December 2017 BRUNEI DARUSSALAM — The Philippine Embassy in Brunei Darussalam, headed by Ambassador Meynardo LB. Montealegre, held its last bimonthly forum “Kapihan sa Pasuguan” with Filipino Community representatives for the year 2017 at the Chancery on December 15.

During the Kapihan, Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) representative, Tito Baldago, Jr., briefed the Filipino Community regarding the status of the upcoming Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) ID. Consul Melvin C. Almonguera announced on the free legal consultation service that is being offered by a local lawyer to Filipinos in Brunei via the Department’s Legal Assistance Fund. The attendees were also reminded on their activities, which should always consider the sensitivities of the Host Country.

Tokens of appreciation, given by the government of Brunei Darussalam, and certificates, given by the Philippine Embassy, were also distributed to the Filipino Community members who participated at the Royal Jubilee Parade of HM The Sultan. Certificates of appreciation were also distributed to the members of the Dance Synergie who represented the PHL in the cultural performance during the One Kampung One Produk Expo 2017 last November.
