PHL Ambassador to the UAE Supports PH’s Participation to the 8th Edition of SIAL Middle East 2017

22 December 2017 ABU DHABI – Philippine Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Constancio R. Vingno, Jr. graced the official opening of the Philippine pavilion, branded “Food Philippines”, at the 8th edition of SIAL Middle East 2017 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates which was set to run from December 12 to 14.
Eleven (11) Philippine companies/exhibitors participated in SIAL 2017; namely, Ahya Coco Organic Food Manufacturing Corporation, Escaba Food Products, Inc., Gabriel Fruit Production and Processing, Greenlife Coconut Products Philippines Inc., Ilocos Food Products, JNRM Corporation, Mofel’s Food International Corporation, Southern Philippine Fresh Fruits Corporation, Team Asia Corporation, Tropicana Food Products, Inc., and Wellness Care International Corporation.
Philippines’ pavilion showcased the exhibitors’ products and highlighted our country’s halal-certified trade goods such as fresh mangoes, coconut products and other by-products, canned goods, flavorings and syrups, banana and sweet potato chips, and processed frozen meat.
Spearheaded by the Department of Agriculture (DA), the Philippines’ participation to this year’s SIAL was supervised by Mr. Gil B. Herico, Agricultural Attaché; Ms. Joyce M. Bengo, Officer in Charge-Chief Marketing Development Division, Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Service-DA (AMAS-DA); and Mr. Marlon Charles P. Rufo, Market Specialist, AMAS-DA. END
