Jollibee Opens More Branches in HK

27 December 2017 HONG KONG – The Philippines’ biggest fastfood chain opens more branches in Hong Kong so Filipinos, locals and expatriates can enjoy its world-famous Chickenjoy.

Jollibee-Hong Kong held the grand opening of its Whampoa (Hung Hom) and Wanchai branches on December 14. The Jollibee-Tsim Sha Tsui branch was also opened on the same day bringing the total number of the fastfood chain’s branches in Hong Kong to eight. The rest of the branches are in Central, Mongkok, North Point and Tsuen Wan.

Jollibee bigwigs Mr. Tony Tan Caktiong and Mrs. Grace Tan Caktiong attended the opening and ribbon cutting ceremonies. As a part of the grand opening, a giant bucket of Chickenjoy was also served to the guests.

Jollibee is attracting more and more local patrons, and according to Jollibee-Hong Kong General Manager, Ms. Monique Santiago, 80% of the Jollibee-Whampoa branch’s customers are locals. 

Acting Head of Post Roderico A. Atienza was one of the grand opening’s guests of honor and during his remarks, he noted that Jollibee’s expansion in Hong Kong reflects the Philippines’ outstanding economic growth.

Jollibee-Hong Kong plans to open more branches in the Territory, with a target of fifteen branches in 5 years. END
