PHL Embassy in Lisbon Promotes PHL Tourism in Portugal
Philippine Ambassador to Portugal Celia Anna M. Feria delivers her remarks at the 3rd Philippine Tourism Awareness Seminar at Coimbra.
27 December 2017 LISBON – As part of its efforts to promote the Philippines as a premier travel destination, the Philippine Embassy in Lisbon co-organized the 3rd Philippine Tourism Awareness Seminar with Quadrante Viagens, a Portuguese tour operator at Hotel Quinta das Lagrimas in Coimbra on December 04.
Philippine Ambassador to Portugal Celia Anna M. Feria gave an overview of Philippine tourism to Portuguese travel agencies and tour operators in Coimbra and surrounding cities in central Portugal.
“We are offering to you the Philippines as a product for your business. It is something new to offer to your clients and also to attract new clients with. I strongly believe that this is a very good product worthy of your consideration and with this Seminar we aim to give you a better appreciation of the Philippines and we can work together to develop and market this product for our mutual benefit” said Ambassador Feria during her remarks.
Ambassador Feria also highlighted that Portuguese tourists will not only be able to enjoy and experience the range of natural attractions but the many cultural attractions in the Philippines.
Ambassador Feria’s remarks was followed by a presentation by representatives of Quadrante Viagens who provided useful information for the travel agents such as tour packages for specific tourist destinations in the Philippines. The Philippine Embassy gave each participant a Philippine tourism kit with brochures of the different Philippine destinations and samples of dried mangoes.
After the presentations, dinner followed where Philippine made products were given out as prizes during a Philippine tourism quiz game. The Philippine tourism seminar was attended by more than 50 guests from Portuguese tour operators and travel agencies. END
