PDG Dela Rosa presents tokens of appreciation to the Filipino-American Law Enforcement Officers Association (FALEO).

28 December 2017 SAN FRANCISCO — A delegation from the Philippine National Police (PNP) led by PNP Director General Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa conducted an official visit to San Francisco from December 07 to 10 to meet with San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) officials, members of the Filipino-American Law Enforcement Officers Association (FALEO), and Filipino community groups.

FALEO and PNP have a long and fruitful history of cooperation. As early as 1999, Filipino Americans serving in the San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) formed the Philippine Exchange Training (PET) program, and signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the PNP in 2000. This seventeen-year relationship has since spanned a variety of joint activities, which includes but is not limited to: skills training, sharing of best practices and knowledge in policing, providing supplies and other donations, and engaging Filipino communities at the grassroots level.

At the welcome reception and law enforcement fellow fellowship night held at the Philippine Center on December 08, PNP Chief Dela Rosa presented certificates of recognition to FALEO and various law enforcement officers for working on projects with the PNP, as well as tokens of appreciation to select U.S. government offices, police departments, and Filipino community organizations.
