PHL Honorary Consul General in St John’s Called on PHL Ambassador to Canada

16 January 2018 OTTAWA — Philippine Honorary Consul General in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) Hazel Alpuerto called on Philippine Ambassador to Canada Petronila P. Garcia at the Philippine Embassy on January 12.

During the call, Consul General, a.h. Alpuerto briefed the Ambassador on the latest developments in NL, especially on the activities of the Filipino community there.

As Philippine Honorary Consul General, she helps the Embassy in promoting Philippine interests in NL, mainly through trade, investment and tourism promotion, and the protection of rights and well-being of more than 1,500 Filipinos there. END
