23 January 2018 NEW YORK - In line with President Rodrigo Duterte’s vision of improving the delivery of public services, including those provided by Philippine Foreign Service posts, the Philippine Consulate General in New York is launching its online Passport Application Tracking Service on 22 January.

To monitor the status of one’s passport, an applicant would simply need to log on to the Consulate’s official website (www.newyorkpcg.org), click “Passport Release Tracking,” and enter a unique number found in the receipt issued by the Consulate. Clients are advised to visit the tracking system within 3-4 weeks from date of application.

“This value-added service in New York is intended for the convenience of our Filipino clients,” said Consul General Ma. Theresa B. Dizon-De Vega. “By utilizing technology, we aim to provide real-time status of one’s passport application.”

According to the Consulate General, this new system will hopefully reduce the need for applicants to send follow up email messages or contact the Consulate for feedback on their applications. END
