23 January 2018 HONG KONG — Consul General Antonio A. Morales took the opportunity to exchange best practices and updates on various issues with his ASEAN counterparts during the monthly get-together of consuls general of ASEAN Member States based in Hong Kong on 18 January.
Hosted by Consul General Sia Ai Ching of Brunei Darussalam at Hotel Jen, the ASEAN Luncheon was Consul General Morales' first ASEAN-related event since assuming post this January.
The event also served as appreciation and farewell in honor of outgoing Myanmar Consul General Wunna Han.
Consul General Antonio A. Morales earlier he called on ASEAN consuls general in Hong Kong during his first two weeks in office where expressed his appreciation for the ASEAN Member States’ support for the Philippines during its chairmanship of ASEAN in 2017. He also exchanged ideas and best practices on consular services, and possible initiatives on enhancing ASEAN-Hong Kong relations especially following the signing of the ASEAN-Hong Kong Free Trade Agreement in November 2017 in Manila.
