PHL Embassy Observes Autism Consciousness Week in Abu Dhabi

In observance of the Autism Consciousness Week, Philippine Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Constancio R. Vingno, Jr. (right photo, 2^nd from right), together with personnel of the Embassy, POLO, OWWA, SSS and Pag-IBIG, and the public clientele recited the Isang Pangako pledge during the flag ceremony on 21 January 2018 at the Philippine Embassy, Abu Dhabi.

The “1Bansa, 1Pangako” pledge is a nationwide call for kindness to encourage positive disability stereotypes and to end the use of “autistic” as a slur.  The theme for this year’s celebration is “From Awareness to Acceptance, Accommodation, Appreciation.”
