Phl Ambassador to the UAE participates in the Roundtable Discussion on Renewable Energy Investment in Southeast Asia 

24 January 2018 ABU DHABI – Philippine Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Constancio R. Vingno, Jr., participated in the Roundtable Discussion entitled, “Renewable Energy Investment in Southeast Asia,” co-organized by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) and Energy Market Authority (EMA) of Singapore as part of the related-meetings within the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2018 on 16 January 2016 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC), Abu Dhabi.

During the discussions, Ambassador Vingno shared the Philippines’ current renewable energy (RE) installed capacity as well as the challenges experienced and lessons learned. He also highlighted the Philippines’ remarkable progress in deploying renewables and the great strides it has made in implementing policy mechanisms for renewable energy.

The roundtable discussion was attended by ASEAN Heads of Missions in the UAE, representatives of private companies and other stakeholders, experts, students, and media. END
