“Bomba” (The Bomb) Screens at the 16th Dhaka International Film Festival

24 January 2018 DHAKA — The Filipino film “Bomba” directed by Mr. Ralston Jover screened its Asian premiere for the 16th Dhaka International Film Festival (DIFF) on 19 January at the Shawkat Osman Hall, Central Public Library Auditorium, Shahbag, Dhaka.
Philippine Ambassador to Bangladesh Vicente Vivencio T. Bandillo, in his brief remarks, conveyed his appreciation to the film festival organizers for the opportunity given to Filipino film entries participating in the DIFF and to the Filipino film makers for their role in bringing international recognition and awareness of Filipino films.
Organized by the DIFF in cooperation with the Philippine Embassy in Dhaka, the screening was well attended and received by the members of the Filipino community in Dhaka and Bangladeshi audience alike.
The Dhaka International Film Festival is one of the most prestigious film events in Bangladesh organized by the Rainbow Film Society, one of the most active film entities in the film society movement of Bangladesh since 1977. This year’s festival, which runs from 12 to 20 January and with theme “Better Film, Better Audience, Better Society”, will be screening 170 films from around sixty (60) participating countries. END
