PHL Consulate General in Xiamen Launches Photo Exhibit at the Cultural Center of the Philippines

24 January 2018 XIAMEN — A photo exhibit on “The Beauty of Fujian” was successfully launched at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), Small Gallery on 05 January 2018.
The exhibition forms part of the Philippine-Fujian Week that seeks to further enhance friendship, understanding and cooperation between the Philippines and Fujian.
The Exhibit featured the works of “Foto-Grupo,” a group of Filipino photo hobbyists based in Fujian and showcased first-hand impressions of different locations in Fujian province documented by Messrs. Bong Antivola, Dan Osillos, Dixx Gatpo and Cocoy Declaro.
Hon. Arsenio J. Lizaso, President, Cultural Center of the Philippines graced the opening ceremony with other CCP officials. Special guests in attendance were officials from Department of Foreign Affairs, Office of Asia and Pacific Affairs (ASPAC/China Division) led by Ms. Rhenita B. Rodriguez, Director.
The Exhibit was jointly organized by the Consulate General through the Office of the Undersecretary for International Economic Relations – Cultural Diplomacy Unit (OUIER-CDU) and the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP).
The photo collection earlier debuted in an exhibition in Xiamen last March 2017, subsequently at the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Main Office in June 2017, at the University of the East – Manila in early October and in Cebu City from October – November 2017/January 2018. END
