PHL Consulate General Holds 1st Consular Outreach for 2018 in Kona, Hawaii

25 January 2018 HONOLULU — The Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu, Hawaii visited Kona, Hawaii for its first mobile consular outreach for the year on 20-21 January 2018.
The consular team was able to provide a total of 174 consular services which include applications for renewal of passports, notarials, civil registries and dual citizenship during the two-day outreach program. It also registered 85 new overseas voters during the one-and-a-half-day activity.
The visit to Kona, which is in the Big Island, Hawaii, was also Consul General Gina A. Jamoralin’s last official trip as Head of Post to the Neighbor Islands. During the visit, she presented Certificates of Appreciation to Councilmembers Dru Mamo Kanuha, Maile David and Karen Keoff, and Ms. Jane Clement, President of Kona Visayan Club, for their support to the Consulate General for its consular outreach activities in the past years.
The activity was held in coordination with Ms. Jane Clement and Ms. Jasmin Kiernan of the West Hawaii Community Health Center, which provided free health screenings, information on affordable health insurance, and free legal and immigration advice during the outreach. END
