25 January 2018  WARSAW — Philippine Ambassador to Poland Patricia Ann Paez stressed that agro-processing technologies is a most promising sector for bilateral cooperation between the Philippines and Poland during her brief huddle with Poland Minister of Agriculture Hon. Mr. Krzysztof Jurgiel on 23 January during the New Year reception hosted by Mr. Jurgiel.

Ambassador Paez also expressed confidence that the reopening of the Polish Embassy in Manila this year will boost the engagement between the Philippines and Poland in the field of agriculture, especially since agricultural modernization is one of the top priorities of the Duterte administration.

The ambassador also noted that about 20% of the country’s agricultural produce go to waste because of lack of, or outdated, post-harvest and agro-processing technologies - an area where Poland excels. END
