FDCP Chair Diño Leads PH Film Delegation in Rotterdam

01 February 2018 ROTTERDAM – The Philippine Embassy in The Hague hosted a lunch on 29 January  for Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) Chair and CEO, Ms. Mary Liza B. Diño, who is attending the 47th International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR), together with the producers, directors and actors of four of the five Filipino films currently featured in IFFR: “Nervous Translation” (producers Mr. John Torres and Ms. Arleen Cuevas); “Respeto” (producer Ms. Monster Jimenez and director Mr. Treb Monteras); “Dapol Tan Payawar na Tayug 1931” (director Mr. Christopher Gozum and cinematographer Mr. Jose Alfonso “Chino” de Vera); and “NeoManila” (producer Ms. Sara Santiago, director Mr. Mikhail Red, and actors Ms. Eula Valdez, Mr. Rocky Salumbides, and Mr. Jess Mendoza). Chair Diño was very thankful for the Embassy’s support to the Filipino filmmakers participating in the 2018 IFFR, and looked forward to working with the different Philippine Embassies and Consulates in promoting the ongoing 3-year celebration of the 100 years of the Philippine cinema which culminates in 2019.
