Philippine Film “Three” Wins Distinction and Honor at Tehran International Festival
31 January 2018 TEHRAN – The Philippines’ James Adrian Ocampo, Director of “Tres,” won a distinction at the 11th Tehran International FICTS (Federation Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs) Festival held in Tehran from 15 to 17 January 2018. The closing ceremony was held on 18 January 2018.
His film, “Three,” won the Best Film in the Short Narrative Section. Mr. Ocampo was the film’s producer, scriptwriter, and editor. Other films by Ocampo include Loko (2015), Tulad Ng Dati (2016), and Looking for Magnus (2017).
693 films from 23 member countries including India, Japan, Nigeria, Malaysia, Lebanon, Turkey, South Africa, and Iran submitted entries. India, Iraq and Turkey have had the highest number of submissions among the member countries.
Iran’s 11th sports film festival was held under the supervision of FICTS world federation in collaboration with the Olympic and Paralympic committee, the Iranian Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Sports and Youth, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, the sports network, Tehran municipality, and other organizations.
