PHL Consulate General in Macau Conducts First Filipino Community Leaders’ Meeting for 2018

06 February 2018 MACAU — The Philippine Consulate General in Macau SAR conducted its first Filipino Community Leaders' meeting at the Consular Reception Area on 30 January.
Fifty-four overseas Filipinos in Macau representing 26 organizations and religious groups attended the said meeting.
Consul General Lilybeth R. Deapera presided the meeting while Labor Attaché Vivian F. Tornea, Cultural Officer Jocelyn A. Bianzon-Carbonell and Attaché and Signing Officer Jan Carlo C. Mendoza discussed important developments deemed relevant to overseas Filipinos in Macau.
The topics that were discussed ranged from the announcement on the implementation of the 10-year validity passport, guidelines on the use of the priority lane for passport applications in the Philippines, the 2018 calendar of events, the new law on the regulation of employment agencies in Macau and other announcements and advisories which were posted in the Consulate General's website and Facebook page.
