PH Embassy in Myanmar Launches New ID Cards for Filipinos

06 February 2018 YANGON – The Philippine Embassy in Yangon issued the first batch of new Identification Cards for Registered Filipinos in Myanmar to the Officers of Pilipinas.Mm, the Filipino community organization in Myanmar on 01 February. The Embassy also launched the new Online Registration Form for Filipinos in Myanmar which the Officers of Pilipinas.Mm accomplished.

The launch of the Online Registration Form and issuance of ID Cards was followed by a meeting with the Pilipinas.Mm Officers. Philippine Ambassador to Myanmar Eduardo E. Kapunan, Jr. shared the benefits of having Filipinos register with the Embassy and the plans of the Embassy to have the ID Cards recognized by the Myanmar government and establishments in Myanmar. The Ambassador informed the Officers of Pilipinas.Mm that the registration of Filipinos is very important and is done annually as part of the Embassy’s efforts to accurately record the number of Filipinos residing/working in Myanmar.

The Ambassador reiterated the commitment of the Embassy to provide support and assistance to all Filipinos living and working in Myanmar. END
