PH Embassy Attends ASEAN Tourism Awards, ASEANTA Awards and Closing Ceremony of the ASEAN Tourism Forum in Thailand

07 February 2018 BANGKOK — Deputy Chief of Mission Mary Anne A. Padua attended the ASEAN Tourism Awards, ASEANTA Awards and Closing Ceremony of the ASEAN Tourism Forum held in Chiang Mai, Thailand on 26 January. The event was graced by Minister Weerasak Kowsurat of the Thai Ministry of Tourism and Sports.

DCM Padua accepted the ASEAN Clean City Tourist City Standard Award on behalf of the City of Davao.

There were fifteen awardees from the Philippines across the three (3) main ASEAN Tourism Standard Award categories, which includes the ASEAN Green Hotel Award, the ASEAN Clean Tourist City Award, and the ASEAN MICE Venue Award, with two subcategories, namely, the Meeting Room in Convention and Exhibition Center setting and the Meeting Room in Public/Private Sector setting.
