PHL Ambassador to the UAE Attends the Opening Ceremony of the Global Forum for Innovations in Agriculture 2018

07 February 2018 ABU DHABI – Philippine Ambassador to the UAE Constancio R. Vingno, Jr. attended the opening ceremony of the Global Forum for Innovations in Agriculture (GFIA) on 05 February at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), Abu Dhabi.

The fifth edition of the GFIA showcased innovations in agriculture which feature 300 solutions to help raise yields, reduce impact on natural resources, improve nutrition and mitigate climate change. The exhibition has six themed zones focused on Indoor Farming and Hydroponics, Livestock and Animal Production, Aquaculture, Sustainable Crops, Date Palm Production and Apiarab (Apiary) Expo. The event also includes sessions and workshops on exhibition themes as well as panel discussions on good practices, water conservation, start-ups and entrepreneurship.

The GFIA, set to run from 05 to 06 February 2018 was participated by industry players, market experts and stakeholders, and attended by government representatives, farmers and growers, resellers and distributors, researchers and innovators. END
