PH Embassy in Yangon Supports MIS International Day 2018
12 February 2018 YANGON – Officials of the Philippine Embassy in Yangon attended the International Day: Together for Peaceevent at the Myanmar International School (MIS) on 03 February as part of its cultural diplomacy efforts to promote Philippine culture in Myanmar. The organizers of the Philippine booth, composed of Filipino teachers and parents, served various Philippine dishes such as sisig, adobo, bicol express, pinakbet, and pancit sotanghon as well as Philippine desserts such as ginataang bilo-bilo, biko, palitaw, and maja blanca. MIS students also danced the Tinikling and performed Philippine songs such as Bahay-Kubo, Leron-Leron Sinta and Dahil Sa ‘Yo.
