New Transport Company Aims to Promote Tourism in Mindanao

12 February 2018 SINGAPORE — Representatives of Go Mindanao Corporation paid a courtesy call on Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Joseph Del Mar Yap on 07 February. Headed by its President and CEO, Mr. De Carlo L. Uy, the group briefed Ambassador Yap on its program to promote tourism in Mindanao, provide business and livelihood opportunities for the community as well as improve air and land connectivity.
Go Mindanao is a tourist bus company affiliated with the Davao Metro Shuttle. Their initial project, the Davao City-Cagayan de Oro route, will be launched in May 2018 with thirty (30) buses that will take tourists to the many tourist spots along the Davao-Cagayan de Oro route. They are also planning to develop other routes in Mindanao to further promote tourism in the region. This new venture is in partnership with the Department of Tourism (DOT) and Mindanao Development Authority (MINDA). END
