Mayor Lani Cayetano Participates in the Spouses’ Program of the ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Retreat

15 February 2018 SINGAPORE — Mayor Lani Cayetano accompanied his spouse, Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter S. Cayetano, during the ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Retreat on 4-6 February 2018 and participated in the Spouses Program on 06 February.
Together with the spouses of the other ASEAN Foreign Ministers and the ASEAN Secretary-General, Mayor Cayetano joined in the tour of the Peranakan Museum. The group was able to view the Peranakan (Straits-born people of Chinese and Malay/Indonesian descent) heritage and culture through its finest collection of Peranakan artifacts.
In order to complete their Peranakan experience, the spouses were treated to a sumptuous and authentic Peranakan lunch at the True Blue Cuisine.
The two events for the Foreign Ministers’ spouses were hosted by Madame Joy Balakrishnan, spouse of Singapore Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan. END
