PHL Consul General Meets with New Orleans’ Mayor-Elect and Louisiana’s Consular Corps During Lundi Gras in New Orleans

Newly arrived Philippine Consul General Gina A. Jamoralin attended the city of New Orleans’ official celebration of the Lundi Gras and met with Mayor-Elect LaToya Cantrell, New Orleans’ first elected female Mayor. Consul General Jamoralin’s visit of New Orleans was arranged by Philippine Honorary Consul Robert Romero of Louisiana. While at the event, Consul General Jamoralin also took the opportunity to enhance Chicago PCG’s ties with Louisiana’s Consular Corps by meeting with its officers and members which include Mr. Greg Beuerman, Dean of the Consular Corps and Honorary Consul of Iceland, Mr. Ceasar Lurati, Vice Dean of the Consular Corps and Honorary Consul of Uruguay, Ms. Jackie Clarkson, Honorary Consul of Lithuania and former President of New Orleans City Council, Ms. Nancy Marinovic, Honorary Consul of Mali and Mr. John Fay, Jr., Honorary Consul of Denmark. Consul General’s visit of New Orleans was in conjunction with the Philippine Consulate’s Consular Outreach in New Orleans held on February 10 to 11. Philippine Consul General Gina A.
