PHL Ambassador Welcomes Participants to PUP’s International Research Conference for Higher Education in Bali

19 February 2018 JAKARTA - Philippine Ambassador to Indonesia Maria Lumen B. Isleta delivered the welcome message at the fourth International Research Conference on Higher Education held from January 25 to 27 at the Grand Inna Bali Hotel in Bali, Indonesia. 

The conference, a biennial event that commenced in 2013, was co-organized by the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), with Universitas Dhyana Pura; the Asia-Pacific Consortium of Researchers and Educators; the Department of Science and Technology; the Academic International Consortium of Indonesia; and Research Synergy. 

This year’s theme, Optimizing Research Innovations through International Partnerships and Collaborations, emphasized the importance of working with fellow professionals in the field, for the achievement of shared goals and the betterment of humanity.

Prof. Paulina Pannen from Universita Siswa Bangsa International in Jakarta served as the Keynote Speaker, while plenary speakers included Prof. Didik Sulistyanto from the University of Jember, Indonesia; Prof. Moh Jailani Bin Mohd Nor from the University Teknikal Malaysia Melaka; Dr. Ritthikorn Siriprasertchok from the Burapaha University, Thailand; Dr. Kenneth D. Mix and Dr. Sheyenne Krysher from Texas State University; and Director Jose B. Patalinjug III from the Department of Science and Technology-Philippines. 

Around 200 researchers from the Philippines and other countries such as Nigeria and Malaysia also presented papers and attended parallel sessions during the three-day research conference. END
