New PHL Consul General in Hawaii Meets Hawaii Governor

23 February 2018 HONOLULU — Philippine Consul General in Chicago Joselito A. Jimeno paid a courtesy call on Hawaii Governor David Ige at the Hawaii State Capitol on 20 February 2018.
Consul General Jimeno thanked Governor Ige for leading the successful annual Filipino Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii (FCCH) Trade Mission to the Philippines on 14-22 October 2017. The Trade Mission covered Manila, Ilocos Sur, Ilocos Norte and Cebu City. One of the highlights of the visit is the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement between the State of Hawaii and the League of Provinces of the Philippines (LPP) in Vigan, Ilocos Sur represented by LPP President Governor Ryan Singson and State of Hawaii Governor David Ige respectively.
Consul General Jimeno and Governor Ige discussed the areas of cooperation between the State of Hawaii and the Philippines, especially on professional health care services. They both agreed to continue and strengthen the good working relation with regard to trade, education, tourism and especially the welfare of the Filipino community in Hawaii. END
