Indonesian National Police Confers Highest Award on PNP Chief General Ronald Dela Rosa

23 February 2018 JAKARTA — Philippine National Police Chief Director General Ronald Dela Rosa was conferred the Bintang Bhayangkara Utama (Medal of Honour) by Indonesian National Police Chief General H. Muhammad Tito Karnavian during ceremonies at the Mutiara Auditorium of Sekolah Tinggi Ilam (STIK – PTIK) or the Police Academy – University of Police Science of Indonesia on 14 February 2018.
The award is the highest honor granted by the Indonesian National Police, with the approval of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, to members of the police force who contributed to the development and progress of the service. General Dela Rosa was cited for his great service and contribution to the improvement and strengthening of relations between the Philippine and Indonesian police forces.
Other recipients of this year’s Bintang Bhayangkara Utama were the Police Commissioners of Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, Singapore, and Australia, and a former Police Commissioner of Malaysia.
Director General Dela Rosa was accompanied in Jakarta by his wife, Mrs. Nancy Dela Rosa, PNP Director General for Operations Camilo Pancratius Cascolan and Mrs. Cascolan, and Police Sr. Inspector Daniel Pumecha, Jr.
The Philippine Embassy in Jakarta, led by Ambassador Maria Lumen B. Isleta, assisted General Dela Rosa and his delegation throughout their stay in Jakarta. END
