Consul General Cortes explains the President's position on the deployment ban in Kuwait

26 February 2018 DUBAI — Continuing its effort to reach out to its stakeholders and provide an avenue for dialogue and discussion for Overseas Filipinos in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, Philippine Consul General in Dubai Paul Raymund Cortes conducted the Consulate General’s first town hall meeting for 2018 at the Philippine Consulate General’s Rizal Hall on February 2018. Among the issues that were discussed was the President’s decision on the deployment ban in Kuwait and the administration’s priority to continue aggressive promotion of the rights of Filipino migrants all over the world.

The Consulate General holds monthly town hall meetings to heighten awareness of key public policy issues among Overseas Filipinos in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, thereby building a community that is actively involved in governance and policy issues. END
