4 Filipinos Win Awards at the 2018 Emirates Short Film Festival

27 February 2018 DUBAI –Four (4) Filipinos reaped special awards during the recent Emirates Short Film Festival (ESFF) 2018 at VOX Cinemas in Dubai.  These included awards for The Young and Emerging Film makers (Rob Blackburn of “Janus”); Best Actress (Danabelle Gutierrez of Girl Next Door); Best in Cinematography (Kamil Roxas of Rendezvous) and Best Director (Melon Perez of Girl Next Door).

The Philippine Consulate General in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) attended the event to support the Filipinos who participated in the said film festival.

Next year, Emirates Airline is slated to hold the International Short Film Festival and hopes to feature five (5) Indie Film makers from the Philippines. END
