PHL Consulate General in Dubai Releases First 10-Year Validity Passport
28 January 2018 DUBAI – The Philippine Consulate General in Dubai released the first passport with 10-year validity to an applicant in Dubai on 28 January 2018,.
Mr. Ruel Carsocho was the first to receive his new passport with the new 10-year validity following the signing into law of Republic Act 10928 that provided for the extension of the validity of PH passports from 5 years to 10 years for Filipino citizens who are over 18 years of age.
All passports processed by the Consulate General starting January 2018 will be valid for 10 years except for the passports of minors under 18 years of age at the time of application, which will remain valid for 5 years. END
