His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, and members of the Royal Family, graced the event.   More than 20,000 participants from the military and police establishments, government ministries, educational institutions, non-profit organizations, community associations, and expatriate groups participated in the event, waving the national flag as they marched past the Royal Dais. This year’s celebration centered on the importance of the youth and their participation in formulating policies and strategies to achieve Brunei’s national vision 2035.

Vice Consul Jaybee B. Arguillas, and Defense Attaché Col. Jose Ricky A. Laniog represented the Philippine Embassy in Brunei alongside other members of the diplomatic corps.

The Embassy closely coordinated with and fully supported the FilCom for their participation in the occasion, particularly, during the group’s marching practices held at the Embassy grounds, the preparation of their attire, and during the event itself, through the provision of food and refreshments to the participants.
